- A couple of years ago, I was laid off from a lucrative position with a Fortune 500 Company after a great 4 year run. I spent a year networking, refining my resume, speaking to recruiters, and attending job interviews. At one point, I even hired a marketing company to train me how to sell myself and my "unique" skills. I had never been so long without a job, so it appeared to me that my old profession was no longer open to me...time to look up an old dream and follow it!
I have never given time to regrets, but have instead embraced the opportunities to move forward, and I have never been so happy with my work! I named my company Business Mojo because I want to attract easy-going, confident people to work with, people that know how to enjoy life...all of it, and it worked. I enjoy being of service to others; I love the days when I have my best ideas ever; and I take real pleasure in the strong friendships and working relationships I am building along the way.
My office is in my dining room where I sit in my PJs sipping a warm cup of coffee, working on Ezine articles, E-books, and Email Newsletter campaigns most of every morning. When I take my breakfast break I stop off to pet my schnauzer, feed the fish, and some days water the plants (I actually have time to take care of plants, a fish and a dog now!).
I thoroughly enjoy the people I meet in my line of work. I am very conscious that I created a "service" business...on purpose. And the people who are drawn to Business Mojo are bright, creative, and very intelligent. They're aware of their business needs, they know good ideas when they hear them, and they know I can either help them personally or help them connect with people who can, quickly and efficiently.
